The pilot project in Puglia addresses the gap between migrants’ skills and labour market needs. Led by the Fondazione SMILE Puglia, the initiative combines research, training, and employment services to support migrants’ socio-professional integration.

Key actions include

• mapping labour demand in the region,
• providing individual career guidance and skills assessments, and
• delivering vocational training tailored to identified job profiles.

The project also fosters partnerships with employment agencies and enterprises to facilitate job placement, including internships. By enhancing migrants’ access to training, counselling, and decent employment pathways, the initiative supports a sustainable and rights-based approach to integration.
